Biography

Laura was born in Atlanta, GA and moved to the state of Florida when she was 9 years old.  As a kid she loved watching sports but was never any good at them so took her talents to the ballet studio instead.  A music lover, she plays piano, violin, dulcimer and drums in her spare time but she’s not particularly good at any of them.  Laura went to college at the University of Florida and quickly started working on her broadcast career during her freshman year of school.  She covered everything from women’s volleyball and basketball to Gator Football for the on campus radio station WRUF.  Soon, she was hosting a 2 hour talk show called “The Cheap Seats” and started working more specifically on the ins and outs of college football recruiting.  This lead to a job at Scout.com reporting on college football recruiting in the southeast US.  Laura began her TV career the end of her senior year of college as the on field reporter for FOX Sports Florida’s Tampa Bay Rays broadcasts.  She also hosted the documentary show “Inside the Rays” and served as the sideline reporter for the Florida High School State Football Championships on FS Florida.  After spending a couple years on the college football recruiting scene, Laura served as the analyst for the national Countdown to Signing Day show on FSN.  From there, she started reporting for Pac-12 women’s college basketball games on FSN and hosted the Pac-12 women’s basketball tournament with Lisa Leslie and Ann Myers-Drysdale.  The fall of 2012 had Laura reporting from the sideline for FSN’s Big 12 football broadcasts.  She was hired to host and report for FOX Sports San Diego in the spring of 2013 and hosted “Padres POV” and “Padres Weekly” during the baseball season in addition to reporting and hosting pre and post game shows.  Laura started hosting “Chargers Insider” on FOX Sports San Diego during weeks in the fall of 2013.  She also hosts the FOX College Football Halftime Show on FSN and the Coors Light Post Game show also on FSN.
